I feel that my senior Prom is completely pointless and not worth going to…

Prom…Why is it so important, I do not understand why everyone is trying to pressure me to go. They say “because you will regret not going in 10 years” or “its the last thing all of your highschool friends will do together, its the last final big dance…” No it is highly expensive, think about it. Dress, hair, nails, shoes, tickets, limos, etc.. like honestly? Then there is the date. and if you are a person like me , you are the only person you know of going to prom without a date… so what is the point?

Someone tell me what is honestly a good reason to go to Prom (without a date…)
